Penny Appeal was proud to join hands with Wakefield Cathedral yesterday during King Charles III's Coronation celebration, marking the occasion together with our Christian brothers and sisters, as well as friends of all faiths.
Adeem Younis, the founder of the international charity Penny Appeal, has had the honour of meeting King Charles III on several occasions in the past. In a recent LinkedIn post, Younis shared his well-wishes for the future King's coronation and his official role as the head of the British monarchy.
Yesterday, on a bright and sunny afternoon, thousands of people gathered at Thornes Park in Wakefield to join Penny Appeal for our annual Eid in The Park celebration.
As our Eid celebrations draw to a close, we may find ourselves reflecting on our experience of Ramadan. For lots of us, Ramadan and Eid have been a time to appreciate what we have and give back to those who have less. We have spent time with family and loved ones as well as indulging in an array of enjoyable activities and foods.
