Since the escalation of the crisis in October 2023, Penny Appeal has worked to be both a humanitarian lifeline and a humanitarian voice for the people of Gaza.
Our spokespeople have conducted more than 20 live interviews on national television, including appearances on Sky News, BBC and ITV, bringing the realities facing Palestinian families into millions of homes across the UK. Penny Appeal’s published accounts also document our role as a humanitarian voice on Sky News, BBC and ITV during the crisis.

But speaking up has only ever been part of our response.
The scale of need remains staggering.
Around 1.4 million people – 67% of Gaza’s population – are projected to face crisis levels of acute food insecurity or worse, including approximately 212,000 people facing Emergency conditions.
At least 1.3 million people remain displaced, while UNICEF reports that only 19 of Gaza’s 35 hospitals are even partially functioning.
And as another winter approaches, more than 235,000 people are living in displacement sites identified as being at medium or high risk of flooding. Around 74% of Gaza’s population currently relies on trucked drinking water.
These aren’t just statistics.
They are families. Children. Mothers. Fathers. Lives still waiting for hope.
Through the generosity of our donors, Penny Appeal has continued delivering food, water, shelter and medical assistance.

Families forced from their homes have also received:
And behind every number is somebody whose life your generosity touched.
A meal when there was nothing to eat.
Clean water when there was nothing safe to drink.
Surgery when a life hung in the balance.
Shelter when home had disappeared.
For three years, Penny Appeal has spoken up.
For three years, our donors have stepped up.
For three years, together, we have refused to look away.
But Gaza’s story isn’t over. And neither is our responsibility.
Today, we’re asking you to stand with the people of Gaza once again.
Give food. Give water. Give medical care. Give hope.
