On the Road for Gaza: Muhammad Tariq’s Soul-Stirring UK Tour with Penny Appeal
In a powerful chapter of Penny Appeal On The Road, we had the honour of touring with one of Pakistan’s most renowned female qawwals and Sufi vocalists, Saba Riaz.
As a Penny Appeal ambassador, Saba led a five-city UK tour of completely sold-out shows just days before Ramadan, awakening hearts through soulful qawwali and reminding audiences of the spiritual power of giving.
From the Field to the Stage
But this tour was deeply personal. Shortly before travelling across the UK, Saba visited Penny Appeal beneficiaries in Pakistan. She met mothers, daughters, and sisters who walk long distances every single day just to collect clean water and heard stories of hardship, exhaustion, and quiet resilience.
Those stories were carried onto every stage, and the impact was extraordinary.
Sustainable Impact: 50+ Water Wells Funded
As a result of this tour, the generosity of the UK community has reached new heights and the results speak for themselves:
