Pakistan Flood Emergency 2025

Over the past few days, relentless monsoon rains have unleashed some of the most devastating floods in Pakistan’s history. Entire communities have been swept away, homes destroyed, and livelihoods lost. The provinces of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, have borne the brunt of this catastrophe.
At the time of writing, over 600 lives have been lost, including at least 150 children, and more than 1,000 people injured. Since July, over 1500 vulnerable Pakistanis have lost their lives to these devastating floods. Mothers cradle their children amid rising waters, families cling to rooftops for safety, and thousands have lost everything- their homes, their possessions, their hope.
Our teams are on the ground, risking their own lives to carry out emergency rescues and deliver life-saving aid. But the scale of the disaster is overwhelming - we urgently need your support to bring relief and hope to families facing unimaginable suffering.

Penny Appeal is always ready to respond when disaster strikes. Time and again, we have stood by the people of Pakistan in their darkest hours and today is no different. The Consul General Of Pakistan

The Consul General of Pakistan has been working with Penny Appeal and has helped to raise life changing funds for communities affected by the devastating floods across Pakistan.

The Consul General of Pakistan, Mr Ibrar Hussain Khan, honoured the charity’s efforts to support the people of Pakistan by attending their fundraising dinners as the Chief Guest of Honour, and making a special guest appearance on the charities live appeals.

Mr Khan has played a crucial role in driving the compassion and generosity of the public to secure more funds and extend Penny Appeal’s provisions across Pakistan.

Rebuilding Pakistan

In the aftermath of the devastating 2024 floods, in which extreme downpours destroyed thousands of homes, Penny Appeal launched our Rebuilding Pakistan appeal, constructing twin room homes for vulnerable families made homeless by disaster.

Beyond the construction of homes, we are dedicated to rebuilding the social bonds that tie these communities together. Our approach is rooted in the belief that true restoration involves empowering individuals to reclaim their sense of ownership and pride.

Save Lives in Pakistan

The unpredictable nature of flooding in Pakistan demands a constant, vigilant presence. Penny Appeal is on the frontlines, offering humanitarian assistance to those in the most vulnerable positions. Whether it's rebuilding homes, providing essential supplies, or offering medical aid, our teams are on-hand to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected.

As we navigate this challenging landscape, we understand that your support is crucial. The resilient spirit of the Pakistani people deserves to be met with an equally resilient response. By donating to Penny Appeal, you become a lifeline for those grappling with the aftermath of floods. Your contributions enable us to extend our reach, offering a glimmer of hope in times of despair.

Join Our Mission

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement."
–Tirmhidi

Through your generosity, we can continue to ease the burdens of those affected by the persistent flooding in Pakistan.

Every donation counts. It is the difference between a family rebuilding their lives or facing the continued threat of despair. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who endure the recurring challenges brought about by natural disaster.

What does ‘Where Most Needed’ mean?

We work with experts in the field as well as our established partners on the ground to locate countries, communities, and people that are most in need. So, when we say your donation is being delivered to where most needed, rest assured that you are helping support some of the most vulnerable communities in the world!

We always do our best to meet your requests!

Penny Appeal will endeavour to use your gift as requested, wherever possible. If for any reason we cannot use your donation as you have indicated, we will use it to fund similar projects in other countries or other projects in the relevant country. Penny Appeal’s strategic overview and on the ground experience means it is in the best position to decide how to meet need as it arises.

Where our emergency appeal has met the immediate needs of those affected we will use remaining funds to support the recovery efforts and longer term humanitarian relief in the affected communities.
