WHERE MOST NEEDED
When you donate to Penny Appeal you'll be helping us carry on our work across a range of projects. A general donation is the most comprehensive way of supporting our charity as your money will go where it is most needed.
Below are some of the projects that your contributions will help.
Feed Our World
Penny Appeal’s Feed our World campaign is a global feeding programme initiated to combat hunger poverty worldwide. Feed our World was launched in August 2012 with the aim of feeding 10,000 orphans and displaced families in ten countries in the last ten days of Ramadan. The appeal fed more than double the target number during Ramadan and it has now become an all year campaign, enabling further feeding programmes in many more countries worldwide.
For Ramadan 2014 we will be feeding in:
AFGHANISTAN, AZERBAIJAN, BANGLADESH, DJIBOUTI, ETHIOPIA, ERITREA, GAMBIA, GUINAE, GUINAE BISSAU, INDIA, IRAQ, KASHMIR, KENYA, LEBANON, MALI, MAURITANIA, NEPAL, NIGER, NIGERIA, PAKISTAN, PALESTINE, RWANDA, SENEGAL, SIERRA LEONE, SOMALIA, SRI LANKA, SUDAN, SYRIA, TURKEY & YEMEN.

One of the most common causes of death in the developing world is drinking dirty and diseased water. Here in the developed world we take water for granted and can access it freely at the turn of a tap; for those less fortunate than us it can be a matter of life and death.
Penny Appeal’s Thirst Relief project is about installing wells and providing safe, clean drinking water to some of the poorest people in the world. Without access to clean water, communities cannot grow healthy food, making them more likely to be sick and unable to work or go to school. In turn, these communities are more likely to be trapped in poverty.
Worldwide, one in five deaths of children under five is down to dirty water. Penny Appeal funded 50 water projects in eleven countries throughout Asia and Africa during 2012, making a real difference to thousands of people.

OrphanKind, Penny Appeal’s orphan sponsorship programme, helps to address the positive changes that are needed orphans’lives to enable them to thrive, develop and ultimately break free from poverty.
Having opened our first orphanage Mera Apna Ghar (My Own Home) in Sohawa, Pakistan in January 2012, our goal for 2014 is to expand our orphan sponsorship programmes worldwide with a particular focus on Asia, Africa and the Middle-East.
Orphankind child sponsorhips begin from as little as 50p a day and can provide a child with a whole year's education. This will pay for a child's school fees, uniform, books, stationery and school meals ensuring the child gets an education and an opportunity to thrive.
This may be small change for many of us but for orphaned children in the developing world, 50p a day is truly life changing money, capable of transforming futures forever.
