Rebuilding Pakistan

> Rebuilding Pakistan

Over a year has passed since the devastating floods, thousands of the victims are still living in tents with only basic supplies, doing their best to survive amongst the terrible devastation. The water supplies are still contaminated and the land is infertile, impacting on the agricultural communities in the region.

With your generosity, Penny Appeal will aim to help these forgotten victims by rebuilding communities and providing a lifeline so they can become self sufficient once again. We will do this by building houses; installing tube wells to provide a constant supply of clean water; offering small business funds to enable local businesses to operate again; and supplying aid packages to those who are still unable to provide for themselves.

Our initial fundraising target is £40,000 which will enable Penny Appeal to rebuild a small village. The new houses will be of solid construction, built from bricks and cement and will be considerably more secure than the properties destroyed by the floods. Each house will have two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, living area and a veranda and will enable another family to begin to rebuild their lives and to find hope for the future.
